The most popular Super Bowl dip in California? Here’s what people are Googling

A Super Bowl party isn’t complete without the snacks.

As people are getting their menu ready for game day, they aren’t just planning for pizza and wings chips and dip are also on the list.

Jalapeño popper dip is the most popular dip Californians are searching for on Google.

Google analyzed dip-related searches that were “over-represented in a region compared to the country” to come up with the results, a spokesperson emailed McClatchy News on Feb. 8.

Jalapeño popper dip is creamy and cheesy, and it comes with a kick. Add bacon if you’re a fan.

Illinois was the only other state to have this dip as its top-searched snack.

North of California, Oregonians opted for french dip and people in Washington were looking for Greek layer dip recipes to snack on while watching the Los Angeles Rams play against the Cincinnati Bengals.

East Coast states were hungry for buffalo chicken, crab rangoon and cheesy hamburger dips.

Oklahomans wanted something sweeter and searched for chocolate chip cookie dip.

Cheeseburger sliders were California’s game day food of choice last year, according to a Google Trends analysis.
