California Gov. Gavin Newsom to announced new restrictions ahead of the July 4 weekend in his latest live press conference at noon. Click the link below to watch a replay of his announcement.
Newsom’s conference comes on the heels of Tuesday’s livestream from outside a Pittsburg motel room yesterday. In that news conference, the governor announced new numbers for the coronavirus pandemic and gave updates on the state’s initiative to keep individuals experiencing homelessness off the streets.
Newsom has repeatedly said that family gatherings are a big public health concern amid the pandemic — especially as the July 4 weekend nears.
He warned of stronger public health orders in his June 30 conference.
“If you’re not going to stay home and you’re not going to wear masks in public, we have to enforce — and we will,” Newsom said.
