Hwy. 41 partially closed while crews remove crashed car

Crews have cleared the scene involving a single pickup truck at a crash that occurred overnight on Highway 41 at Los Altos.
Later Wednesday, a woman was killed in a weather-related car crash on Highway 41 west of Atascadero, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman — who investigators believe was about 19 years old — was driving south on Highway 41 near Old Morro Road West about 12:45 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle, said Officer Jordan Richards, a CHP spokesman.

Drivers traveling through northern San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday should avoid Highway 41, where crews are clearing a car that drove off the road, police said.
Motorists will encounter delays west of Atascadero on Highway 41 between San Gabriel and Los Altos roads, according to an Atascadero Police Department tweet.
Crews are removing a vehicle that went over the road embankment last night, police said.
The road is expected to reopen by 1 p.m., according to the tweet.
