5.7 earthquake strikes in Pacific Ocean southwest of Eureka
A 5.7 earthquake centered in the Pacific Ocean southwest of Eureka was detected early Friday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor struck at 12:50 p.m. at a depth of 15.3 kilometers. Its epicenter was about 320 miles northwest of Fresno. No tsunami warning was issued.
