3.9 earthquake detected in San Bernardino National Forest
A 3.9 earthquake, followed a minute later by a 2.9 aftershock, was measured in the San Bernardino National Forest on Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblors were located just northwest of Morongo Valley (about 260 miles southeast of Fresno) and struck at 9:56 a.m. and 9:57 a.m.
Early Wednesday, a trio of earthquakes measuring between 5.5 and 5.7 struck near the California-Nevada border, about 125 northeast of Fresno.
