4.3 earthquake recorded offshore in Northern California

An offshore earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 struck Monday morning southwest of Eureka, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The temblor was recorded at 10:33 a.m. It was officially marked at 20.5 miles southwest of Rio Dell, which is about 20 miles south of Eureka.

There were no reports of injury or damage.
