Junk removal service opens in Fresno
Fresno is now in the realm of Junk King, a junk removal service that prides itself on eco-friendly habits, good customer service and competitive pricing.
The central San Joaquin Valley’s franchise was opened by Clovis resident Wes Burgess, who is also the co-founder of We Be Sober, a service that delivers cars and their drivers home to avoid the dangers of drinking and driving.
“I was intrigued by it,” Burgess said of the Junk King company. “Being able to clean up the city and give back to AMVETS and Salvation Army, that’s what I’m passionate about.”
He said the goal is to keep junk out of landfills by trying to recycle, donate or reuse what the company picks up. Pricing is determined based on how much of the truck the pick-up fills.
“I have no doubt that Wes will bring success to Junk King in Fresno,” said Michael Andreacchi, CEO and co-founder of Junk King Franchise Systems. “He has the passion and experience to expand the brand into a new territory.”
Burgess leased a warehouse to sort and manage the items from pick-ups, which will mostly be recycled and donated instead of taken to a landfill, according to the company.
Junk King will pick up from north of Madera to south of Tulare, stretching into farmlands where Burgess said he has noticed people dumping. He said he hopes to form partnerships with agricultural associations to help combat this issue.
“We’re happy to do it, and I’ll be there on the truck, making sure its done the right way,” he said.
