Import-inspired home decor shop opens in Clovis
Timeless Treasures Unique Home Decor opened its doors with a mission to bring unique, high-quality products to the central San Joaquin Valley via a new store in Clovis.
“If you’re looking for something really unique, we’re really the only place in Fresno like this,” owner Pasqual Bernal said.
The store, at 170 West Shaw Ave. in Clovis, carries artwork, furniture and products imported from Bali, Indonesia. Bernal said he chose products that were handmade and unlike the bulk of furniture found in Fresno and Clovis, such as handmade monkey pod, coconut and teak wood pieces.
The decision to start the business stemmed from a move to Clovis with his wife, Julie Bernal, from Hawaii, and the quest to fill his own home with unique furniture.
“My wife started furniture shopping, and we went to various furniture stores throughout Fresno and Clovis,” he said. “We saw a lot of generic stuff, so we thought ‘Let’s bring some of the island to the Valley.’ ”
Bernal said he prices his items competitively, and is hoping to see his business grow in the months to come.
