Raizana Tea Co., a locally-owned Fresno tea shop and manufacturer, is for sale for $79,000.

The business was started in 2009 by a husband and wife team, Sol and Pablo Orozco, and moved to downtown Fresno in the summer of 2013. Now, the couple is selling the business in preparation for a cross-country move.

“I always had it in my head to own my own business,” Sol Orozco said. “That was my dream. I feel really successful for what we did, and I feel like we really accomplished something.”

Although it was Sol’s dream to be an entrepreneur, her husband supported her completely in addition to working another job, she said. This is why she is now leaving Raizana in Fresno as the family moves to Washington D.C., where Pablo has a job promotion waiting.

“It’s bittersweet,” Sol Orozco said. “When you really love somebody, sometimes dreams are different. We really support each other, and now it’s Pablo’s turn to be supported, because he was there for me and my dream.”

However, Sol Orozco believes she will find another opportunity to start another business eventually, and hopes Raizana can continue to be successful in Fresno.

Raizana Tea Co. sells tea online, on Amazon, in Whole Foods around the nation and in their shop in downtown Fresno, nestled in the Warnors Center building. Other local restaurants also serve Raizana tea.

Sol Orozco said she did not want to close the downtown store, so chose to sell it. In the interim, though, they will continue to manage Raizana virtually.

Neither hours nor services are expected to change, she said.

“Nobody really wants to see them go,” said real estate broker Veronica Stumpf, of Stumpf and Co.

Stumpf clarified the sale of Raizana, which includes everything: business, website, recipes, equipment, fixtures, social media, inventory, contracts, the rights to sell online and on Amazon and in Whole Foods, and goodwill.
