The Tenaya Lodge, a resort near Yosemite National Park’s southern entrance, is in need of employees.

Last week, it opened a hiring center in Oakhurst, about 14 miles from the resort, where people can access computers to fill out online applications and participate in on-the-spot interviews. The hiring center is at 40879 Highway 41 in Oakhurst.

Tenaya Lodge is looking to fill approximately 45 positions, spokesperson Kat Beaulieu said.

Beaulieu said workers have been hired just for the summer season, but that the lodge has been staying busier after that. Therefore, the lodge is looking to fill positions year-round.

“Fall and spring used to be slower seasons for us, but we’re not really seeing much of a slowdown anymore,” said Wendy Burke, regional director of human resources for Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite.

“This is great for us and for our staff, because we’re able to offer full-time, year-round hours for many of our positions, which allow people to stay and grow their career with us,” she said.

The hiring center is expected to be a permanent part of the company, and it will also have training sessions at its location for new employees.
