PetSmart celebrating new River Park location

The new PetSmart store in River Park will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, June 4.

The store took over the space that LifeWay – formerly Berean Christian Stores – left behind when it downsized to a new location on Blackstone Avenue near Barstow Avenue.

PetSmart will have a ribbon-cutting at 9 a.m., followed by face painting and giveaways of gift cards, coupons, free dog grooming and $200 gift packages.

Banfield Pet Hospital, inside PetSmart, will also be celebrating its grand opening. The Central California Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Animal Compassion Team and the Valley Animal Center will have animals for adoption and volunteer information available at the event.
