Valley Center for the Blind will hold open house at new location
The Valley Center for the Blind will celebrate the official opening of its new location with an open house on Friday, May 20.
The event at 3417 W. Shaw Ave. starts with a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m.
Established in 1973, Valley Center for the Blind provides services for over 300 blind and visually impaired individuals annually in Fresno, Madera, Tulare and Kings counties. Services include educational classes such as Braille, assisting technology training, orientation and mobility, and independent living skills.
The organization also offers a variety of recreational programs, counseling and support groups.
