Word on the Street: unWired Broadband expands wireless services in eastern Fresno County

Valley Internet service provider unWired Broadband Inc. has added a new tower on Round Mountain, near Shaw and Academy avenues, to expand fixed-wireless services in both capacity and coverage to eastern Fresno County.

The company announced on May 5 that the new tower provides additional bandwidth and improved signal quality via fixed wireless microwave technology for the nearly 600 customers living in and around the tower’s coverage area.

The company said it plans to reach out to customers to offer free realignment, providing immediate improvement in bandwidth and signal quality.
