Word on the Street: DaVita Kidney Care opens new home dialysis center

DaVita Kidney Care is hosting an open house on Thursday for its grand opening of its newest location at the Fresno North Home Dialysis Center.

DaVita Fresno North Home is different from other dialysis centers in that it provides specific training for home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis therapy options, said Justin Forbis of DaVita Fresno. The center also provides supplies for home dialysis and patients are required to go into the unit once a month for lab follow-ups.

Thursday’s ceremony runs from 4-7:30 p.m. at 6655 N. Milburn Ave.
