Word on the Street: HVAC company brings road show to Fresno

A Wisconsin-based HVAC company will bring its traveling display of innovative heating and air conditioning technology to northwest Fresno Monday.

Modine of Racine, Wis., will bring its 53‐foot-long fold-out exhibit trailer to 8090 N. Palm Ave. in Fresno from noon to 6 p.m. The company manufactures commercial heating and air conditioning equipment.

According to Ray Schaffart, Modine’s marketing and sales support manager, the traveling road show offers allied trade professionals, including architects, engineers, design/build contractors and HVAC students, a chance to see the company’s technology. The tour gives these people a chance to see the gear in action, and to speak with people from the company.

Three free accredited continuing education courses will be offered: Dedicated Outdoor Air System Basics from 1-2 p.m.; Advancements in Energy Recovery for Dedicated Outside Air Systems, from 2-3 p.m.; Sound Principles of HVAC Equipment, from 3-4 p.m.

The trailer – which unfolds in “Transformer” style into three stages and a slide-out classroom – includes an Atherion packaged rooftop ventilation system, an operating school ClassMate HVAC unit, an interactive Modine Controls System module, the newly AHRI‐certified geothermal systems, and Effinity and Hot Dawg unit heaters.
