Achievements
▪ Joseph D. Hughes, managing partner at the law firm of Klein, DeNatale, Goldner, Cooper, Rosenlieb and Kimball LLP, received a Martindale-Hubbell AV peer review rating. An AV peer review rating is an achievement bestowed on fewer than 5 percent of attorneys and demonstrates that a lawyer has earned the highest rating available for their legal ability and professional ethics.
Announcements
▪ Mercedes-Benz of Fresno was presented with the “Best Place to Work” recognition by Mercedes-Benz USA, one of only 12 dealers to receive this honor among 359 Mercedes-Benz dealers nationwide. This recognition is based on the 2015 Dealer Employee Engagement Survey, where employees share anonymously how they are treated by management and their belief in the mission of the dealership’s leaders.
▪ Valley Health Team Inc. added Craig J. Knight of HomeBased Realty to its board of directors. He brings years of experience in the real estate industry to the board as well as decades of volunteer work for the Firebaugh community and surrounding areas.
▪ Gov. Jerry Brown announced the following appointments to the 21st District Agricultural Association, Madera District Fair board of directors: Isabel Barreras, Rosanne Bonilla, Lois Leonard, Patricia Manfredi, George “Butch” Ricketts, Stephanie Simonian and Sheryl Sisil, all of Madera; and Harvey “Skip” Petitt of Chowchilla.
Donations
▪ The Rotary Club of Fresno awarded $2,400 to Columbia Elementary School for playground equipment for four kindergarten classes and one transitional kindergarten class. The equipment will include: trikes, scooters, playground signs, a basketball hoop, a wagon, a rainbow parachute and a target toss for approximately 125 students in a cemented and grass play area.
New Faces
▪ Justine Dolan is a new speech language pathologist at Adventist Health/Physical Therapy in Hanford. She earned her master’s degree in communication disorders from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Conn., and has 11 years of experience caring for patients with a variety of voice disorders.
▪ Tracie D. Espinola is the new intake coordinator for HealthCare California.
▪ Realty Concepts hired the following associates in residential sales: Rick Rios, Tami Serpa and Michaela Reyes in the Fresno office; and Denise McKinzie and Laurie Hansen in the Clovis office.
Promotions
▪ Clovis Community Medical Center promoted two of its staff.
John M. Strubert is the new vice president/chief administrative officer. He has been with Community Medical Centers for nearly 13 years. His new role will include the areas of business planning and strategy, physician relations/recruitment/contracting, service line analysis/growth, marketing and communications, campus development and donor relations.
Patrick Ramirez was promoted to the role of associate administrator of professional support services. In his new role, he will maintain these current responsibilities and will oversee additional ancillary departments, including: nutrition and dining, safety, security and housekeeping.
▪ Johanson Transportation Service, a leading third-party logistics provider, promoted several staff members in its Fresno Perishable division. Jeff Mosqueda was promoted to the position of manager; Shawn Dhillon to carrier procurement lead; Matt Holt to customer service lead; and Pete Donlon to data analyst.
