Gas prices in Fresno are on the rise – 10 cents in the last week and up 45 cents in the last month, according to GasBuddy.com.
The average cost of a gallon of unleaded in Fresno was $2.70 Tuesday. Gas Buddy surveys 364 gas stations in Fresno daily.
The state of California is at an average $2.83 a gallon.
Maintenance at gasoline refineries in California that decreases output is pushing up prices, said Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst for GasBuddy. Prices could continue to rise until refinery maintenance wraps up in May, he said.

However, Fresno prices still are well below this time last year, when they averaged $3.18 a gallon in Fresno.
