Brightwood College hosting open house, ribbon cutting at Clovis campus

Brightwood College will celebrate its rebranding with an open house for the business community on Feb. 26 at its Clovis campus.

The event is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. A ribbon cutting is at 9:30 a.m. Guests can meet the faculty and staff, tour the campus, and enjoy mimosas, coffee and breakfast items.

The campus is at 44 Shaw Ave. in Clovis, near Shaw and Minnewawa avenues.

The college, which was formerly known as Kaplan College, is unveiling its rebranding after being acquired by Birmingham, Alabama-based Education Corporation of America (ECA).

The corporation’s other holdings include Virginia College, Golf Academy of America, Ecotech Institute and the New England College of Business.

“The Brightwood College name represents a cornerstone for opportunity and growth for our students and the entire company,” campus president Noha Elbaz said in a news release. “We are delighted to host an open house for the business community to showcase the new possibilities created by the close alignment of Brightwood programs and those offered at ECA’s Virginia College, which currently has 27 locations across the United States.”
