Word on the Street: Fergie’s Freestyle Dance Studio opening in Fresno

Fergie’s Freestyle Dance Studio will open on Shaw Avenue in central Fresno on Feb. 26.

The studio, which will offer classes in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, lyrical and line dance from beginner to advanced levels, is celebrating its opening with two days of free dance classes on Feb. 26 and 27.

Toddlers through adults are welcome to take lessons. Spring class sessions start March 5 and after-school dance workshops start March 7.

The studio is located just west of Millbrook Avenue at 1477 E. Shaw Ave. No. 110.

Friday, Feb. 26 (Teen & Adult Classes)

▪  Freestyle Dance Movement for adults from 10 to 11 a.m.

▪  Jazz for adults from 11 a.m. to noon

▪  Hip Hop for adults from noon to 1 p.m.

▪  Tap open to all from 1 to 2 p.m.

▪  Ballet for teens from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

▪  Lyrical for teens from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

▪  Jazz for teens from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

▪  Line Dance for teens and adults from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 27 (Ages 2 to 4 and Ages 5 to 14)

▪  Freestyle Dance Movement for ages 2 to 4 from 9 to 9:45 a.m.

▪  Ballet for ages 5 to 14 from 10 to 11 a.m.

▪  Lyrical for ages 10 to 14 from 11 a.m. to noon

▪  Tap for ages 5 to 9 from 11 a.m. to noon

▪  Tap for Ages 10 to 14 from noon to 1 p.m.

▪  Freestyle Dance Movement for ages 2 to 4 from noon to 1 p.m.

▪  Jazz for ages 5 to 14 from 1 to 2 p.m.

▪  Line Dance for all ages from 2 to 3 p.m.

▪  Hip Hop for all ages from 3 to 4 p.m.
