Word on the Street: Batteries Plus Bulbs opens in Clovis

Batteries Plus Bulbs, one of the fastest-growing franchises of its kind, is opening in Clovis.

The store at 95 W. Shaw Ave. carries a wide range of batteries for everything from your television remote to your fishing boat. The store also carries power inverters, flashlights, LED back-up lights, power chargers, radios and transistors.

Batteries Plus Bulbs carries nearly 60,000 different types of batteries, light bulbs and related products for all household and business needs. Along with selling batteries, the store offers tech services for replacing watch, keyless entry and smartphone batteries, rebuilding battery packs and repairing smartphones and tablets, including iPhone, iPad and iPod devices.

The Clovis store will be operated by Polly Deng, a first-time franchise owner.

Batteries Plus Bulbs also has a Fresno store at 3312 W. Shaw Ave.
