Word on the Street: Health center celebrates grand opening in east-central Fresno

A new community healthcare center in east-central Fresno will be hosting a grand opening celebration Thursday, Jan. 14, at 1945 N. Fine Ave.

The Clinica Sierra Vista North Fine Community Health Center serves residents of all ages in the North Fine area, close to the Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

Primary services provided include family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics gynecology. The Health Center opened in late November but continues to make a long-term commitment to the health and well-being of the community, said CEO Stephen W. Schilling.

The nonprofit clinic network is a federally qualified health center providing primary care, health education, prevention and social services to the underserved populations of Fresno, Kern and Inyo counties.
