WestAir Gases and Equipment, a leading supplier of gases and welding supplies, has completed construction of a new building in southwest Fresno.

The new 20,000-square-foot building, at 2929 E. Dorothy Ave., was designed to incorporate solar power and the use of natural light. Nearly 30 “solar-tubes” were installed to reduce the need for artificial lighting and 520 solar panels were also installed.

WestAir’s Fresno office supplies gases for businesses and hobbyists throughout the San Joaquin Valley. Among the products it supplies are oxygen, nitrogen, argon, helium and acetylene. It also carries a full line of welding supplies.

The new building will also include a 4,000-square-foot retail area and a welder repair area.

The company, based in San Diego, has locations in California, Arizona and Texas.
