AT&T to expand its GigaPower service to Fresno

AT&T plans to expand its super-fast Internet service to homes, apartments and small businesses in parts of 38 metropolitan cities across the country including Fresno, the company announced Monday.

The service, called AT&T GigaPower, launched nearly two years ago and already is in 20 cities including Los Angeles and West Palm Beach, Fla., which went live Monday.

On the network, which has a 1 gigabit per second speed, customers can download 25 songs in less than a second, a television show in three seconds or a movie in less than 36 seconds.
