Fresno-area shoppers fill malls and more for Black Friday deals, Santa visits

Black Friday is in full swing in the central San Joaquin Valley, with shoppers filling stores throughout the region.

Of course, a big component of most big shopping centers’ Christmas theme is a visit with Santa Claus, and Black Friday typically is the day he is first available to hear children’s wish lists. At Fresno’s River Park and Clovis’ Sierra Vista Mall, Santa arrived Friday by helicopter.
