The Central Valley Venture Forum, an event aimed at highlighting entrepreneurship in the central San Joaquin Valley, is happening Thursday at the Clovis Veterans Memorial Auditorium.
The event, presented by the Lyles Center for Entrepreneurship at Fresno State and Central Valley Fund, a venture capital group, begins at 9 a.m. and features a program of speakers focused on issues of small business startups and entrepreneurship, including how the Valley is making its mark in water and agriculture technology, the success of Latino-owned businesses, and raising capital for startup and growth.
A highlight of the day is the Valley Entrepreneur Showcase, where owners of some of the region’s top startup businesses will make presentations to a panel of judges and an auditorium full of people. One of those presenters will be deemed Best in Show.
Tickets for the daylong program are $75 per person, or $35 for faculty and $25 for students. Details: http://valleyventureforum.com/.
