The newly expanded Walmart store on Ingram Avenue in northwest Fresno, scheduled to open later this month, moves closer to completion as workers begin stocking shelves in preparation for its grand opening.

The store, which fronts Herndon Avenue just west of Blackstone Avenue, will include a full line of groceries, along with a produce and bakery section, and a wide assortment of merchandise.

Store manager Mike Buchta hired up to 80 additional full- and part-time associates as part of the expansion.
