Gasoline prices remain low and have fallen lower in the last month – 10 cents in Fresno and 2.9 cents in the Visalia-Tulare-Porterville area – according to a AAA of Northern California report released Tuesday.

The average cost of a gallon of unleaded gasoline in Fresno was $2.76 on Tuesday and $2.75 in the South Valley.

The average price in California was $2.84 a gallon – down $1.01 from this time last year. Nationally, prices are at $2.21.

Falling demand for gasoline typically keeps prices relatively low this time of year, but disruptions in supply could push prices up again, according to AAA.
