A specialty insurance company with 40 employees is moving its Fresno office to the Clovis Research and Technology Park.
The company, Golden Oak Cooperative Corp., has committed to building a 10,000-square-foot office on a 1.06-acre parcel on the west side of Temperance Avenue, north of Alluvial Avenue. The new offices will be located west of Precision Plastics and APPL Labs.
The company is moving from its existing offices near Fresno-Yosemite International Airport.
The Chatsworth-based company specializes in insurance for landscaping contractors. The company will pay Clovis $370,000 for the parcel. The asking price was $392,500, city staff reports say.

Clovis City Council members approved the agreement in a 5-0 vote Monday night without discussion.
The company had been looking at sites throughout the region, said Andy Haussler, assistant city manager for Clovis.
The company, he said, has two years to build its offices, but will likely move faster. Should Golden Oak not finish within two years, the company will pay the city’s full asking price, according to city staff reports.
