New fertilizer plant opens in Hanford
A new liquid fertilizer company in Hanford will celebrate a ribbon cutting on Wednesday.
Company officials with Tessenderlo Kerley Inc., local dignitaries and members of the Hanford Chamber of Commerce will mark the completion of the new manufacturing plant that will employ more than 20 people.
The plant manufactures potassium thiosulfate, a liquid fertilizer product that provides potassium and sulfur in a single application. The product is used throughout California and the western U.S. to enhance yields in a variety of vegetable, fruit and nut crops.
