The Fresno Whole Foods store will lose jobs as part of cuts announced by the company Monday, but a specific number was not released.

Beth Krauss, the Whole Foods spokeswoman for Northern California, confirmed that the Fresno store will be affected by the cuts.

As part of a restructuring, the grocer announced it would cut 1,500 jobs nationally representing 1.6 percent of its workforce.

With the average Whole Foods store in Northern California employing 200 people, that would equal 3.2 jobs.

Whole Foods anticipates most of the cuts will happen through attrition and employees finding jobs in other unfilled positions.
