Fresno Pacific to hold ‘Spark Tank’ business pitchfest

The Center for Community Transformation at Fresno Pacific University will hold its third annual Spark Tank pitchfest on Sept. 25.

Ten community agencies and churches will present business proposals in front of a panel of judges during the public event to win between $1,000 and $3,000 in development funds to help jump-start their businesses.

The pitchfest is modeled after the ABC reality television show “Shark Tank.” Participants will give a five-minute presentation and answer questions.

The event will be held 2 to 4 p.m. at the southeast Fresno school’s BC Lounge, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave. The winners will be announced and checks presented at the end of the competition.
