Chipotle opens first drive-thru location in Tulare. What to know

Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its first Tulare drive-thru location.

The restaurant’s second location in the city opened Wednesday and features a Chipotlane, what the restaurant calls its drive-thru pickup lane. The lane allows customers to pick up their online orders without leaving their vehicles.

The Drive-thru Chipotlanes are becoming standard at new Chipotle locations nationwide.

Several can be found in the area, including one in Fresno (near Herndon and Brawley avenues) and one in Clovis (near East Shaw and Leonard avenues).

The cities of Sanger, Reedley, Dinuba, Lemoore and Visalia all have drive-thrus. Lemoore’s opened in March, and Visalia has two locations: near Plaza Drive and East Crowley Avenue, and near Dinuba Boulevard and Riggin Avenue.

The Tulare new restaurant will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily at 2258 E. Bardsley Ave. near Mooney Boulevard and will offer limited-time menu items including Chipotle honey chicken, cilantro lime sauce and high-protein offerings.

The restaurant will employ about 30 people and is hiring at chipotle.com/careers.
