Gas prices tumbling in Fresno, across the state
Gas prices are falling in Fresno and across the state, and are expected to continue to drop over the next few weeks, according to AAA of Northern California.
AAA released its monthly gas price report Tuesday, saying that oversupplies of crude oil, dropping demand for gasoline and record output at refineries are pushing prices down.
The average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline in Fresno fell 12 cents in the last month to $3.37.
In the Visalia-Tulare-Porterville area, prices fell less than a cent to an average $3.36 a gallon.
Strong production at refineries signals oversupplies of crude oil, which could mean notable drops in gas prices leading up to the Labor Day holiday.
