Expo Party Rental officially unveiled its new showroom and floral department July 29 at its store in central Fresno.
Construction on the floral department began in early fall of 2014, and the showroom has been under construction for more than a year, said marketing manager Sarah Stribel.
With the new floral department, she said, four distinct services now are offered under the company of Expo Marketing and Services, along with Expo Decor, which works with trade shows; Expo Audio Visual, which provides electronics such as sound systems, projectors and screens and often goes along with Expo Decor; and Expo Party Rental, which handles event rental details such as tables, chairs, tents, stages and other items.
The company offers “everything that you could possibly imagine that you would need for an event that you may be planning, whether it’s a family party to a corporate event or a gala,” she said.

One of the slogans that we do use here is ‘One call does it all.’ We want to be able to provide as much as we possibly can for the consumer.

Before the company moved to 3714 N. Valentine Ave., these services were provided out of three Fresno locations. In 2013, they were brought together under one roof.
The floral department was added to bring in something different and go after an underserved market, she said. It compliments what the event retail service offers, providing a centerpiece to spice up a table with linen.
It’s also a part of the store’s strategy to be the one-stop shop for event details, to ensure customers don’t need to complicate planning by using multiple vendors for one event, said Stribel.

The floral department is led by Elisa Valdez, a floral lab manager at Fresno State. Her creativity and understanding of color and concept has brought a new element to what the store displays, Stribel said.
“Her ability to design and create is phenomenal,” she said.
The new showroom is 2,400 square feet, used to display products and services offered in one big space to “get a glimpse of what you can do or what some of the possibilities are,” she said.
