The Big Fresno Fair hosts its fifth annual job fair Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Commerce Building at the Fresno Fairgrounds on South Chance Avenue.

This year, the fair is accepting applications to fill almost 500 positions, including parking and ticket sellers, ticket takers, parking attendants, customer service representatives, janitorial staff, maintenance crew, horse racing staff and security guards.

Applications will be available at the event, but candidates can download one ahead of time at http://www.fresnofair.com/fairgrounds-employment. Applicants should make copies and must bring their photo ID.

“We are looking for serious, high-quality workers who believe in keeping The Big Fresno Fair a place where families can expect superior customer service,” said John C. Alkire, fair CEO, in a released statement.
