High-speed rail hosts small business workshops in Visalia and Fresno
The California High-Speed Rail Authority is hosting free workshops for small business certification and disadvantaged business enterprise certification in Visalia and Fresno.
The workshops provide technical assistance for online certification from the California Department of General Services and information on procurement opportunities.
The Visalia workshop is Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Employment Connection at 4025 W. Noble Ave. There is a computer lab for on-site certification.
The Fresno workshop is Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Downtown Fresno Business Hub at 1444 Fulton St. Those who want an on-site certification are to bring a laptop.
Workshop attendees need to come prepared with applicant/affiliate federal tax returns for the past three years and home addresses of any executives. Attendees may also need a federal employer identification number, a Secretary of State number, a Contractors State License Board number, a Dunn & Bradstreet number and a Social Security number if they are the sole proprietor.
