Achievements

▪ Annette Bushman was the top-producing insurance agent in May for Port Royal Insurance Services.

▪ Joni Davis was the top-producing loan officer in May at Royal Charter Mortgage.

▪ London Properties announced company honors for May: Gail McLain-Lugowski, employee of the month; Johnny Dela Mora, advocate of the month; Paula Conner Team, top listings team; Darryl Zuber Team, top sales team; Dean Farnesi, individual top sales; and Mike Webber, individual top listings.

▪ Attorney Jonathan Rooker of Nuttall & Coleman earned the designation of American Chemical Society Chemistry and Law Division Lawyer-Scientist. The ACS-CHAL Lawyer-Scientist is the highest honor of its kind awarded by ACS. The requirements includes extensive study of gas chromatography, liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry along with pharmacodynamics and pharmakinetics involved in DUI-drug cases. Jonathan is the sixth lawyer in the state of California to earn this honor.

▪ Todd W. Baxter, McCormick Barstow LLP partner, has been named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. The counsel is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of fewer than one-half of 1% of American lawyers.

▪ Brad Harper of Fresno has earned first place in Curtis 1000’s Thousand Club monthly competition. A business solutions consultant for the company since 2005, he achieved 171% of plan based on overall customer satisfaction, selling to industry/market needs, and providing innovative ideas custom-tailored for each client. He covers the Central Valley and Northern California for the company.

Announcements

▪ Darrin Monteiro, 28, of Hanford has been appointed to the 24th District Agricultural Association, Kings Fair Board of Directors by Gov. JerryBrown.

▪ Bob Reyes of Fresno has been elected chair of the board of directors for United Way of Fresno County. He is a retired Fresno Unified School District principal and now serves as a part-time administrator on special assignment.

Awards

▪ Kuppa Joy Coffee House in Clovis was presented with the 2015 Small Business of the Year Resolution by Assemblyman Jim Patterson, R- Fresno.

▪ Ben Krikorian, owner of Krikorian & Company Accountancy Corporation, was given the Outstanding Rotarian of the Year award for 2014-15 from the Fresno Sunrise Rotary Club at its most recent event. He was lauded for his work within the club and his service to the community.

▪ Selma Nissan was nationally recognized in the June 15 issue of Automotive News for being the recipient of the highest award presented by Nissan North America, the 2015 Award of Excellence. The program recognizes and rewards Nissan dealerships for outstanding performance in sales, customer satisfaction, and owner loyalty during Nissan’s fiscal year.

▪ De Young Properties earned the Gold Nugget Awards’ Grand Award honor, the top honor, for Building Community Spirit Award, which was honored for the 2014 Central Valley St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. The winners reflect the industry’s best, brightest and most innovative architects, planners and builder/developers.

Donations

▪ The Rotary Club of Fresno awarded $1,200 to Bach Children’s Choir for a computer and printer for operation purposes, $1,229 to CASA of Fresno and Madera counties for purchasing 10 office chairs to complete a training room upgrade, $2,390 to Central Valley Honor Flight for 10 wheelchairs and $2,500 to the Fresno Fire Chiefs Foundation for the “Helmets are Cool” program to purchase bike helmets, posters and trading cards to be dispersed to elementary school children and their schools.

▪ Pieology Pizzeria’s Fresno location at the El Paseo Marketplace raised $1,155.83 for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. The recently opened location held a pre-opening event where 100% of sales were donated to locals living with MS.

New Faces

▪ Virtus Nutrition, a Central California-based dairy feed ingredient company specializing in fatty acid nutrition, added Caitlin Kasbergen as marketing associate. Her new duties include handling all advertising and product literature development and distribution.

▪ London Properties hired the following to join its residential sales staff: Jin Hahm, Kasey Christensen, Mindy Timmings and Amanda Chobanian, Fresno office.

▪ Wendy Duncan joined California Health Sciences University as senior vice president for academic affairs, provost and interim dean of pharmacy. She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Toronto.

▪ Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group has added three staff members to its team: Richard Fink, senior geologist, Clovis office; Lynette Bays, accounting specialist, and Brayden Lovik, assistant engineer, Fresno office.

▪ Guarantee Real Estate has hired the following agents to its sales staff: Lisa Neufeld, West/Herndon office; Kelly Tell, Fig Garden Village office; Tim Gordon, flex office; Chuck Buford, Amy Zaragoza and Masooma Assad, Woodward Park office; Kristina AlvarezValdez, south county offices; and Adam Chan and Brooke Parichan, Palm/Nees office.

New Locations

▪ KALA American Realty moved to 4949 N. Crystal Ave. just south of Shaw Avenue between West Avenue and Van Ness Boulevard in Fresno. KALA American Realty is a full service real estate office.
