SoCalGas will pay dividend on preferred stock

Southern California Gas Co., which serves a territory that includes Visalia and the southern San Joaquin Valley, will pay a dividend in July to owners of its preferred series stock.

The state-regulated utility company, a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, announced the dividend Tuesday. The payout of 37.5 cents per share is the same amount paid in the previous three quarters. The dividend will be paid July 15 to shareholders who own SoCalGas preferred stock as of June 10.

SoCalGas preferred stock is traded on the OTC-QB over-the-counter board under the stock symbol SOCGP. Its Series A preferred stock closed Tuesday at $29.05 per share, down 1.36% from its previous closing price.
