▪ Aaron Steed, Meathead Movers CEO and co-founder of Move To End DV, announced his spot on the board of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

▪ Founder Douglas W. Hagen of B-K Lighting, a landscape and architectural lighting manufacturer, announced that B-K Lighting is now an employee-owned company.

Awards

▪ The offices of Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group in Fresno was recognized for their work on the Lerdo Campus Water & Wastewater Improvements in Kern County and on the Gary R. Serrato Intertie Facility in Fresno County by the American Council of Engineering Companies of California.

▪ The Big Fresno Fair took home 18 awards at the Western Fairs Association’s 95th Convention & Trade Show, including the following first place honors: television advertising, commemorative poster contest, animal photo contest, new competitive exhibits, new sponsor and guest services award. Big Fresno Fair also won five second-place awards and seven third-place awards.

▪ Saint Agnes Medical Center has achieved international recognition as a baby-friendly designated birth facility. The medical center is the first hospital in Fresno County and one of only 95 in California to earn the prestigious designation.

New Faces

▪ Neurologist Rohini Joshi, M.D., is now seeing patients full time at Visalia Medical Clinic and focuses on health issues such as migraines, memory loss, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and Parkinson’s.

▪ Family HealthCare Network announced the addition of Michael Leung, D.D.S. to its provider team. He is now offering dental services in the community of Tulare and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California.

▪ Family HealthCare Network announce the addition of Julianne Coelho Longo, certified nurse midwife, to its team. She is now offering women’s health services including prenatal care in the community of Tulare.

▪ United Health Centers has added the following providers to its team: Qwan Hayes, PA-C, to its team of medical providers at the Huron Health Center; Melanie Fung, D.D.S. to the Mendota Dental Service and Niccole Maldonado, R.D. to the team of health educators at the Parlier Health Center.

▪ Kleinfelder is pleased to announce that Stephen Plauson, P.E., G.E., has rejoined Kleinfelder as a principal geotechnical engineer in the Great Valley Area. He has over 23 years of geotechnical engineering, materials testing, and construction inspection experience.

New Places

▪ Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino celebrated the grand opening of its new 8,000-square-foot gas station and convenience store at 17th and Jersey avenues in Lemoore.

▪ United Health Centers will host a grand opening ceremony for its new health center at 11a.m. Wednesday at 1570 Seventh St. in Sanger.

Promotions

▪ United Health Centers announced the promotion of Trayce Pedro to human resources manager. She completed her master’s degree in human resource management from Colorado State University.
