Les Schwab opens tire centers in Clovis and Sanger

Les Schwab Tire Centers has added two more stores to its growing list of central San Joaquin Valley locations.

The national company opened a store in Clovis at 1635 Herndon Ave., just west of Fowler Avenue. The second store is in Sanger at 710 Academy Ave., near Seventh Street.

Both stores employ 12 people, including a store manager, assistant manager and 10 employees.

A three-day grand opening celebration will be held at both locations starting Thursday. The events include giveaways and food from local restaurants.

Les Schwab will make donations to Sanger High School’s Future Farmers of America Club and the Buchanan High School Boosters Club.

“We’ll be providing a fun atmosphere and giveaways that families can enjoy together,” said Tim Schluckebier, the Sanger store manager. “We think it’s a great way to engage with our local community.”

The store openings are part of Les Schwab’s continued expansion in California. The company sells tires and is known for its free offering of tire repairs, rebalancing and air checks. It already has eight locations in the Valley.
