Announcements
▪ Fresno Community Development Financial Institution has rebranded itself as Access Plus Capital and has officially launched its new logo.
▪ California Health Sciences University in Clovis announced a record enrollment for the incoming class of doctor of pharmacy students. Eighty-eight aspiring pharmacists with plans to graduate in 2021 began their first day of classes at the only College of Pharmacy in the central San Joaquin Valley.
▪ The Central Valley Angel Group has added PowWow Energy Inc. to its investment portfolio. PowWow is applying data science to solve practical problems in agriculture using a team of agronomists and computer scientists.
Awards
▪ Fresno First Bank, the subsidiary of Communities First Financial Corporaton, announced it has been ranked as one of America’s fastest-growing private businesses by Inc. magazine’s 36th annual Inc. 5000. The list represents some of the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment of independent small and midsized businesses.
▪ Criminal law attorney Miles Harris has been nominated and accepted as the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys “10 Best in California for Client Satisfaction” in 2017.
New Faces
▪ Dr. Srikanth Naramala has joined the Adventist Health Kerr Outpatient Center in Hanford and Medical Office – Hanford Specialty as an experienced rheumatologist, caring for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, tendinitis, lupus, vasculitis, myositis, a variety of joint pain and more. He is fluent in English, Telugu and Hindi.
▪ Dr. Jeffrey Csiszar has joined Adventist Health Physicians Network in Hanford and Medical Office – Hanford Specialty as a board-certified urologist. He cares for both children and adults with general urology issues. His focus is on female urology (incontinence), prostate, bladder and kidney cancer, as well as kidney stones.
▪ Windsong Productions, a full-service video production studio, has added two members to its team: Evan Schafer, editor and colorist, and Nicole Spate, production assistant. It has also promoted Joann Mercado Hicks to producer.
▪ Dr. Bakht Roshan has joined Madera Community Hospital as an internal medicine and infectious disease subspecialist. Dr. Roshan, a graduate of Aga Kahn University Medical College in Pakistan, completed his residency at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, followed by a fellowship in hepatology at the University of Illinois.
▪ Dr. Laine A. Janzen has joined the dental practice of Scott M. Janzen DDS, to form Janzen Dental in Fresno.
▪ Pearson Realty announced the addition of A.J. Ferdinandi as a sales associate in the Fresno office, where he will specialize in farm and ranch sales throughout the central San Joaquin Valley. He is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in agricultural communication.
▪ Emilia Morris has joined Central California Legal Services as the new legal director. For the past 10 years she has worked in the private sector for corporate and large government clients.
