United launches 737 service to San Francisco for early morning Fresno fliers
United Airlines formally began expanded morning service Wednesday between Fresno Yosemite International Airport and San Francisco International Airport, Fresno officials announced.
United launched its 6:15 a.m. service to San Francisco with a Boeing 737, which replaces smaller regional jets that carried fewer passengers. United’s expanded service is timed with morning connections through San Francisco to popular destinations such as Hawaii and beyond.
In May, United announced it would convert certain regional jets to mainline aircraft at Fresno and nine other markets. SkyWest Airlines operates four daily regional flights for United between Fresno and San Francisco on the Embraer E175 and Bombardier CRJ fleet, in addition to its service to Los Angeles and Denver.
