Sunnyside Bicycles sold its last bike in Reedley last week, shutting down its store after slightly more than a year in business.

Co-owner Vanessa McCracken posted on the store’s Facebook page that she and her husband John were devastated over having to close the shop that served as Reedley’s only full-service bike store.

A disagreement over the shop’s lease may have triggered the departure.

On the upside, the three employees who worked at the Reedley store were hired at Sunnyside’s Fresno store at 6105 E Kings Canyon Rd. The added employees will allow the Fresno store to open seven days a week.

Starting Monday, Sunnyside Bicycles will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
