Downtown Fitness to hold open house in former YMCA building
Downtown Fitness will host its open house in the former YMCA building in downtown Fresno, showcasing the renovations it has made to the building and the community and kids programs it will offer.
The new fitness center plans to complete a restoration of the entire building in the coming months that, when completed, will feature a basketball court, aquatic center and kid’s camps.
The open house on Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. will feature a free lunch hosted by Hometown Buffet, tours, and fitness center and kid’s camps sign-ups, the center said.
Downtown Fitness is at 1408 N St. and can be reached at 559-721-5168 for more information.
The former YMCA closed in 2009 due to financial troubles. It sustained a 121-year run in Fresno.
