Fresno Fright Nights seeks ‘lost souls’ to bring ‘spooky’ to new haunted house
Calling all “lost souls.” A brand new haunted house experience coming to the San Joaquin Valley wants to see your “spooky side.”
Fresno Fright Nights will hold two more rounds of casting calls for actors to bring their “inner monster” — costumes and all — over the next two Sundays, Aug. 17 and 24, the attraction said on Instagram.
The casting calls will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Island Waterpark, and hopeful participants over the age of 18 can expect one-on-one interviews and “group scare activities like zombie walks, growl-offs & best wolf howls.”
Actors should bring “a great attitude and a serious love for Halloween,” and costumes — with props — are “HIGHLY encouraged,” the attraction said.
“Show us what you’ve got!” the post said. “Creativity, passion, and your inner monster.... Let’s make Fresno scream.”
The show runs from Oct. 3 to Nov. 1, and owner Bob Martin told GV Wire the production will require about 150 actors with 70 in reserve.
It spans six acres at Island Waterpark, the outlet reported. Among the attractions are an abandoned chemical plant, a blood river bayou swamp ride, a forgotten graveyard tour, and of course, Fresno’s own Night Crawlers Pizza.
