ORIGINAL STORY: A missing persons report has been filed for Armando Arias, the owner of Tacos El Cabezon, according to Fresno Police.

The report was filed Friday, confirmed Sgt. Diana Trueba Vega, spokesperson for the Fresno Police Department.

She was checking with detectives on Monday afternoon, but said no additional information was available at the time.

Arias is the owner of the popular taco truck that drew lines at Maroa and Shaw avenues before it stopped parking there. He opened his first brick-and-mortar restaurant on Fulton Street in downtown Fresno in March.

The restaurant was closed Monday morning well beyond its scheduled 8 a.m. opening time, with no sign on the door.

Arias has a wife and 3-year-old son.

An Instagram story by Oscar Garcia was posted around noon Monday with the words “Missing person.”

It said: “Armando has been missing and completely unreachable for the past three days. There has been no communication regarding him or the business, and while I know many people have questions and concerns about work and what’s going on now, a person’s safety matters more than any business situation.”

Garcia added to the post: “Just wanted to mention I don’t have any information. I’m just as confused as you all, please pray ... for my brother. Haven’t talked to him since I left to Mexico, so let’s hope Armando is well. He loves this community and people.”

Garcia was not immediately available for comment.

Arias was also working on another restaurant on McKinley and Fruit avenues that hadn’t opened yet. He had a second taco truck in the works, too.

An Instagram post about Armando Arias was posted Monday. The owner of Tacos El Cabezon, he has been reported missing to the Fresno Police department.
