This Fresno pizza restaurant opened its ninth location. How to get a free medium pizza
The Curry Pizza Company has opened its ninth restaurant — this one in Fresno — and it’s gearing up to offer free pizza at its grand opening.
The latest restaurant by the local family is at the southwest corner of Clinton and Blythe avenues, west of Highway 99.
It has the same menu as other locations, featuring Indian flavors — such as tandoori chicken and currry masala paneer — and traditional American pizza such as pepperoni.
The butter chicken pizza and the sweet chili wings continue to be the most popular items, owner Malhi Singh said. The restaurants are also known for their vegan menu.
They also serve beer.
Free pizza
The Clinton and Blythe location opened in July and will hold its grand opening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19.
Free medium pizzas are available during that time, only at that location. No other purchase is necessary.
The new spot is the third location in Fresno.
The original opened on West Shaw Avenue near Marks Avenue in Fresno in 2017. It also has a location at Willow and Nees avenues serving north Fresno and Clovis, along with restaurants in Visalia and Tulare.
In recent years, the family has opened four locations in Southern California.
They decided to open the Clinton location because the neighborhood needed a pizza place and customers were driving from there to the West Shaw location, Singh said.
“I think Fresno is a great town,” he said. “We live here. We expanded to L.A., but we definitely want to do more stores in Fresno.”
At least two more area restaurants are in the works, including one on Kings Canyon Road, though he declined to say exactly where.
