After 10 years in business, Clovis True Value is changing things up.

It’s got a new name, a new look and new products on its shelves.

The business on Shaw Avenue, east of Fowler Avenue, is now Clovis Ace Hardware.

The local ownership remains the same, but the business has switched suppliers.

As part of that, it did some remodeling in the store.

The new partnership means the store is carrying more barbecue equipment, so it moved the cash registers to make room for it.

It’s added the outdoor cooker Big Green Egg, and also carries Weber, Traeger and Blackstone grills, noted co-owner Steve Bassett.

“The main reason we’re switching is just because of the bigger name,” he said. “People know Ace Hardware, and they’ve got additional product that we haven’t been able to have in the past and we just want to be able to serve the customer.”

It’s also bringing in pies. The Pie Company’s frozen pies are for sale. The store still carries the popular frozen Country Fair cinnamon rolls.

Clovis Ace Hardware will celebrate its 10th anniversary and grand reopening this weekend. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, along with a sale and demonstrations by vendors Saturday, prize drawings and more through Sunday.
