Javence Pizzeria has a reputation in Fresno for its carne asada pizza.

But your opportunity to get that pizza with green salsa, beef, cheese, cilantro and Mexican crema is gone.

The restaurant has closed.

A post on social media over this past weekend said it was going out of business.

“We didn’t plan on doing this but looks like God has other plans for us,” said the post. “Many might not know but co owner needs a transplant and is best for us to focus on his health. Help support us these last few days.”

The restaurant at 3598 E. Butler Ave. near Orange Avenue was open for a few more days and closed on Tuesday.

It sold out after its announcement Sunday.

The owners declined to comment, but confirmed their last day was Tuesday.

The pizzeria’s name is pronounced Jah-VEN-say. The owner and his wife have seven kids and it’s the initials of their first names put together.

Their Facebook and Instagram pages were flooded with well wishes.
