Nordstrom Rack store headed to another Valley city. Here’s what we know
Discount department store Nordstrom Rack has announced it plans to open a new store in another Valley city: Visalia.
The news comes months after The Bee broke the news that the company is planning a location in Clovis too. Fresno already has a Nordstrom Rack on north Blackstone Avenue.
The retailer — which is an off-price version of the high-end Nordstrom — plans to open in Sequoia Mall. The mall is not far from Highway 99 and Highway 198.
You’ll have to wait a while to shop there though. It’s scheduled to open in fall of 2023.
The Visalia store will take over 29,000 square feet.
The 31,000 square-foot Clovis store is also scheduled to open next year.
Nordstrom Rack sells brands at about 70% off original price. Some come from Nordstrom, others are purchased directly from brands Nordstrom does business with.
The company has more than 350 stores.
